that power events and winner of the 2006 and 2007 Trade Show Executive Innovation Awards, announced today that
Judy Fairbanks has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing.
Fairbanks is a veteran of the event marketing industry, most recently as co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer
of Capture Technologies, LLC. She co-launched Capture Technologies in 2001 and successfully brought to-market
an innovative software product line that allows exhibitors to effectively gather insights, fulfill inquiries
and expand their sales pipeline. Prior to Capture Technologies, Fairbanks led marketing communications, corporate
advertising, and event marketing at Canon U.S.A., Inc. as Director of Brand Management.
By teaming with ITN, Fairbanks is pursuing her mission to effect powerful, measurable results for show and event

market share and building the ITN brand. “ITN is the most innovative player in the event marketing information
technology arena, with a lot of client loyalty,” said Ms. Fairbanks. “That’s a large part of the reason for the
company’s success so far, and I look forward to helping ITN provide incremental, quantifiable value to our customers
and, as a result, making ITN even bigger and better.”
The wirelessly-enabled NFC PocketLead mobile device allows exhibiting organizations and trade show organizers
to use the bCardMobile network to upload, at any time, lead management information from the palm of their hand.
The data, which could be information on a new lead or existing customer, could also be pushed down through the
short messaging system (SMS) to the organization’s sales staff for immediate follow-up. Additionally the PocketLead
handheld devices are equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, to check the contactless visitor
tickets at 3GSM World Congress. NFC was co-developed by NXP Semiconductors and facilitates short-range communication
between electronic devices, such as mobile phones, PDAs, computers and advanced consumer electronics, via a secure
and easy wireless connection. This reduces the potential for lost leads through misplacement of paper-based lead
details or through delayed lead assignment and follow-up.

ITN Celebrates 250,000 Successful SECURbCard RFID Deployments
Bethesda, MD—ITN, the leader in large and cost effective deployments of RFID technology
at events, announced that as of July 31, it had successfully deployed over 250,000
SECURbCards since January of 2006. ITN’s SECURbCard is a “contactless” RFID card
which facilitates customized visitor contact programs for and/or by exhibitors,
event producers, attendees and sponsors.
“People are actively embracing RFID technology both because of its efficiency in
collecting attendee data and its ability to push data back to the card holder,”
says Ivan Lazarev, President of ITN International. Lazarev says that the most
popular applications are currently tracking of attendance, CEU accreditation,
session verification, internet café access, and inventory controlled functions
like meals and tote bag distribution
Among the events that ITN SECURbCard has been deployed at are 3GSM, RSA Conference
and JavaOne. For JavaOne, SECURbCard was used in conjunction with a contact system
and branded as JavaCard. The hybrid SmartCards where then used for lead retrieval,
a passport program, to validate session access and to activate e-mail stations.
Post-event, the data was used to generate comprehensive reports and to supply
vendors of lists of who had visited their exhibit.
Over 15,000 SECURbCards were issued at RSA Conference where the session attendance
data will provide insight into which types of attendees go to which sessions—and
how the conference content should evolve in the future. By seamlessly integrating
its ECP System (Enterprise Credential Production) with the WingateWeb platform—ITN
was able to issue the SECURbCards directly from the data contained in the WingateWeb
registration and data platform.
ITN International provides data collection and management tools for trade shows,
events and experiential marketing applications. Clients include trade show organizers,
corporate marketers and experiential marketers and agencies requiring registration,
data acquisition, lead management, SmartCard, measurement and digital identity solutions.
